'Norfolk's loveliest village'

Whilst we were in Norfolk in September, we had a little walk around Burnham Market - self described as 'Norfolk's loveliest village' and I will agree that is a very quaint place indeed.(Although the website and these photos don't really show how much of a nightmare parking is there ha)

I took the complete husband photo as a joke for Thomas (as we'd been married about 3 days at this point) so I'm a little sad it didn't fully work out but oh well.

Some of the last photos I took in 2015

I still have loads of photos I haven't shared on here from last year and even more to share on Flickr too - I'm always playing catch up it seems ha. I don't mind though, they're all good photos (well I think so at least) so they're worth waiting for.

I'm pretty excited to be sharing these photos from Rodley Nature Reserve, I've taken photos there before - but every time we go I see something new to take photos of and this time was no exception.

Sometimes you get a photo that is just dumb luck - you're in the right place, you're aiming the right way, you're in focus and you're fast enough to catch that flock of geese that is about to fly right over your head in formation! You then do a little dance and shout 'I got it' very loudly in a public park haha. At least, that's what I did :)

I was very excited when it was developed to see that 1. I did indeed get the photo  and 2. Its as awesome as I thought it was going to be. Hurrah! Though I really need to get better at wiping the dust off my negatives and scanner when I scan films, I'll work on that.

So far I've already done a few days of 2 photos a day as per my 4 Simple Goals - and I'm loving it - even in this gloomy January greyness. It might be a challenge going out in my lunch break every day but at least now I have a very good reason to make sure I do go out.

More Snowy photos

Because its Christmas and why not :)

I hope you're all having a wonderful Christmas time - we've been enjoying it quietly at home together in Leeds. Amazingly after 13 years of being together Thomas and I have never seen each other Christmas morning and opened presents together, and we've never had Christmas in our own place. But now we're married, it seemed like the right thing to do. So we started our day with yummy bagels and prosecco because, again, why not? We also ate a lot of cheese and biscuits... Christmas is the best right!

Christmas in York

Earlier this month my sister and her husband came to visit for the weekend and we went to York to enjoy the festive atmosphere and the Christmas market. It definitely helped to kick off that Christmas feeling for the month!

As well as the Christmas Market, all the streets in Yorkshire had the delightful little christmas trees hanging that you can see in the photo above and as well as loving the simple consistency of the idea, it was just so fun to see so many christmas trees around brightening up the streets with their twinkling lights!

Can you believe its Christmas tomorrow? Hopefully these photos have added to your festive spririt and Merry Christmas!!
