Christmas in York

Earlier this month my sister and her husband came to visit for the weekend and we went to York to enjoy the festive atmosphere and the Christmas market. It definitely helped to kick off that Christmas feeling for the month!

As well as the Christmas Market, all the streets in Yorkshire had the delightful little christmas trees hanging that you can see in the photo above and as well as loving the simple consistency of the idea, it was just so fun to see so many christmas trees around brightening up the streets with their twinkling lights!

Can you believe its Christmas tomorrow? Hopefully these photos have added to your festive spririt and Merry Christmas!!

York in Autumn

I'm taking a little break from holiday photos to show you newer photos, hurray! A few weeks ago, my lickle sister and her husband came to visit for the weekend and we went to York to visit one of her friends (We went to Betty's, we had dessert from the cake trolley. I'm now obsessed with the cake trolley...)

We had a sunny day and as well as enjoying some food and drinks, we also wandered around and enjoyed the scenery. I really love York and never get bored of taking photos there.

I'm not entirely sure why there are light flares on a few of these photos, but I like them! Also there is even a dedicated shot of people, I'm quite proud of that one - even if I did nip in, take the photo and then run away from them hahaha.

York's City Walls

I shared some photos of York's city walls last year but it is one of my favourite things about York and I can't seem to stop myself taking even more pictures of it whilst I'm there.

It was cold, and overall a pretty dull day but I kind of like that about these photos.

A day in York...

To celebrate the fact that Thomas and I are still together after a crazy amount of time, we went to York for the day. Our main reason was to go to Betty's for a ridiculously tasty breakfast (the rosti and the eggs benedict are so good!) but after eating our full we spent the rest of the day looking around the city.

I always find York so charming, even when its busy, there is always something to see and even in the cold it was lovely to look around, and warming up again in the pub with a celebratory world beer was also a treat (I can't remember what I had though but it was also tasty.) Hurray for celebrations.
