The Georgian House

I love taking photos in these old houses and the Georgian House in Edinburgh was another one that let you take them. Be still my heart ha.

Theres something about pattern on pattern in that last photo which I really love! I did push the limits of a 200 film inside on a grey day but overall, I think they turned out well.

More test shots

The more I look at these photos from my new to me Minolta Dynax 300si, the more relieved I am that they worked out, I think its definitely going to be a camera I'll use more from now on. Do any of you have this camera too? I'd love to know what you think of it.

These fake flowers were left behind by the previous owners of our house, I can't decide if I do actually like them or not, but they are handy as a test subject at least.

The first test photos

As per my usual standard, and before the snow arrived, the first photos I took with my new to me Minolta Dynax 300si was old faithful Kirkstall Abbey.

I think they turned out well - in focus at least! The weather was a bit dull which shows (it was still winter) but overall, I'm super happy. AND those whoopie pies in the last photo - vegan and gluten free!!! Oh gosh I nearly cried when I ate them because they were delicious and I haven't been about to buy cake since October. OCTOBER. Intolerances are quite challenging thats for sure. Thank goodness for specialist bakeries (this was Wildcraft Bakery in Leeds, my new favourite place ever)!

More snow...

I couldn't help myself, it is really pretty. Even if it brings the UK to a standstill!

I have to admit that the garden in our new(ish) house is amazing. I really want a Narnia lamp to go by the stairs between the trees, wouldn't that be so dreamy in the snow. I'd even leave the house to take a photo of that!

Film: Kodak Gold (though you can't really tell in the snow, its almost B&W)
