Knaresborough: Little Details

Hi, my name is Rhianne - and I like to take photos of windows. Especially if the windows look like this!

These were taken in March (which is why there are daffodils) - in the week before everything shut down and life in the UK went from a little weird to completely different.

20 & 21/366/2020 - I used to walk to the dock in my lunch - I always liked the Royal Armouries building and the second day I walked a bit further and discovered the cute free library.

people in lockdown

Getting photos of people is something I’ve always had to consciously push myself to do. But now that we’ve seen the streets empty, it feels like I was really missing something important in not showing the world I see as it really is - as a place usually full of people. Maybe when things get back to normal that won’t be something I take for granted - or frankly got annoyed with when taking photos - like I used to.

single frame: the vivitar ghost returns

Another charming little quirk that I somehow forgot about with the Superheadz Wide and Slim - and the Vivitar camera that the Superheadz is a clone of - is that it has a ghost! I figured out in 2012 what actually happens with this camera and was pleasantly surprised to have another visit from the ghost on the latest roll of film I developed from it.

Funnily enough I think the photo from 2012 was taken at Kirkstall Abbey too - so double eerie!
