Photoswap update!

Hurray, I have finally sent out all the emails with everyones partner information on and the deadline for sending the films has been set at
Friday 6th August 2010.

I am probably more excited about the swap this time around, here are some fun statistics to help you stay excited too!

~ The swap has 86 participants making up 43 pairs~
~35 of these pairs are sending to a partner in a different country ~
(compared to 14 last time!)
~ the participants come from 14 different countries (wow) ~
~including 23 States of America ~

I'm starting to take my photos this weekend, so I hope everyone else has as much fun taking them as I plan too!

Happy birthday little Holga...

So its been a year and a couple of days since my little Helga the Holga arrived in the post from Hong Kong.

Needless to say, this camera has changed my life.

Its funny how a few pieces of plastic can have such a dramatic affect on your life but its true. Without this camera my love for 35mm film would not have been reignited, I wouldn't have started a rather large collection of cameras, I never would have opened my shop and I definitely wouldn't have had so many people interested in reading about my camera adventures.

My little holga is my go to camera, I love the colours, I love the sound of the shutter, I love waiting for the photos to be developed, I love its accidents and its surprises and I honestly can't imagine travelling anywhere without it.

I was planning on celebrating my little holga this week but I have so many posts to catch up on and I'm still recovering from the evil wisdom tooth... so my holga week is going to be next week!

I'm hugely excited about it and you definitely should be too!

Cupcakes and Corn Exchanges!

So these photos are a couple of weeks old now but I had to post them as I such a great day with one of my best friends.

I've been meaning to take photos properly inside Leeds Corn Exchange for a while, the first time I went there in my first year of Uni, I completely fell in love with the building and I still love it now. I'm so glad I had my Diana Mini with me that day.

Even after we'd had pizza for lunch we went to Antony's Patisserie in there and got the cutest cupcakes - mine was the chocolate one. It was delicious!
I love lunch dates with my besties!
