Komorebi II

"light that filters through the trees"

After I shared my last komorebi post l I did exactly what I said I would and I went to take some photos of trees. I love the sunshine!

I got photobombed...

... and it was awesome! In fact I deliberately didn't stop taking this photo when I spotted them because taking this photo made me smile so big... and so does looking at this photo. I gave them a big grin and a wave and we all got on with our day. Perfect!

Out of alignment...

My favourite thing about film photography is the surprises. I do my best to limit them, to control the process and get a wonderful photograph, but the developing and scanning part of the films life is out of my hands.

At first I was a upset when this disc came back with misaligned photos on it - but I quickly checked the negative and luckily, that was fine... the camera is fine. The scanning process however obviously didn't like my photos haha.

Now I've got used to them, I actually quite like them... it's easy to forget when you look at just one photo that they came from a whole roll of photos, a journey through time perceived by the photographer and with these photos you get an idea of what came before and what came after - even if it is only a glimpse.

Around Porto Part I

There isn't really a theme to these other than they are from the same roll of film... a lot of the time we were just walking around taking in the sites (with me snapping photos...) and it was wonderful. Like in Split, the light in Porto was perfect for Ektar film as well and I think the sky and the colours really pop in these photos.
