Burnham Overy Staithe

Lets keep going on the ‘photos I totally forgot to post’ train - the next stop is Norfolk and specifically, Burnham Ovary. Of course, now I’m feeling slightly homesick but also totally bamboozeled that I haven’t shared these before - because I simply love them!

When I was younger, I couldn’t wait to get out of Norfolk as fast as I could… can you believe that looking at these photos?! I can’t really either. But then I didn’t grow up in Burham Ovary haha, or any of the Burnhams. That would have been a very different experince I think. As I’ve gotten older, my appreciation for the beauty of Norfolk has definitely grown, and it was only in leaving the county that I really appreciated that even though places may seem similar, there really isn’t anywhere quite the same.

The first photos taken with my Minolta X-500

I’ve shared quite a few photos from this camera now and its really grown on me. I hadn’t developed black and white film anywhere before when I got this camera as part of the Emulsive secret santa but it also came with a film of Kodak Tmax 400 film, so I figured the best way to start using it was with the film I was given.

I’ve talked about this film quite a bit recently after being sent some by Kodak and I am still loving all my results that I’ve had with it so far. Its dreamy yet got such a stark contrast, which I loooove.

I was absolutely delighted when I saw these as I was on my 3rd roll in that camera by then and relieved that I liked the photos. Its definitely coming away with us when we go away soon!

Flower love

It feels like its been ages since I shared some flower photos (though it probably isn’t really) so here are some lovely ones that I spotted in Tropical World in Leeds. I have other photos to share but I had to share these first of course.

No surprise that I’m particularly taken with the yellow ones especially - and actually I’m really pleased that I got the colour ok with the scanning of that photo too.
