December Reflections...
Hello my lovelies, I hope you're all well.
Its December tomorrow, can you believe it? I'm a little in shock still that 1. November is nearly over and 2. I made it through the month! Hurray!! You may have noticed however that my life/blogging balance is a bit out of whack at the moment - we had a busy weekend last weekend which meant my usual blogging day - Sunday - was missed but I somehow managed to fit one blog post last week in spite of that...
So... rather than feeling stressed and trying to do everything at once and wearing myself out - which makes me an even worse blogger haha - I've decided to take a little blog break this month but still have a post every day. Well how does that work you ask? Easy. December Reflections with Susannah Conway!
In August I took part in the August Break sharing just one photo every day and this month will be the same with Susannah's December prompts. It also means I can schedule all the posts for the month over the next few days giving me the next couple of weekends to relax and actually read some blogs rather than just write my posts and then turn the laptop off
I'm sure I'll pop in around Christmas but for now, I'm going to relax and enjoy the month - and as Susannah says - end the year in style!!
p.s. I'm probably the only person really noticing the life/blogging imbalance but my blog is one thing that I want to keep going through the changes in my life and the friends I've made through my blog are important to me - so if you're feeling like I haven't been to your blog in a while, don't worry I'll hopefully make it there this month!
A rather lovely wedding... Part I
This August two of our dear, amazing friends got married, to each other (!) and it was beautiful, lovely and so wonderful. The bride and groom asked me to take some photos with my film cameras and I happily (if nervously) agreed and I've been so excited to share a few here as I think they're some of my best photos from the year... you can't beat taking photographs of people you love, who themselves are in love and in a happy environment.
I was so nervous that I'd messed up somehow - not loaded the films properly, not checked the ISO of the film and changed it on the camera, not focused properly (you get the idea, it all could have gone so wrong haha) - so imagine the relief I felt when I got the rolls of film back and they looked like this!

More Autumn details...
I used to sit on that little step. I miss the view and the trees. It's been harder than I thought looking at these photos, knowing that I took them before I made such a big change in my life. I feel a little nostalgic, but mostly, I feel relieved... relieved that I did it, relieved that it doesn't seem to be a bad decision and relieved that everything is OK and my fears were just that - fears. Phew!
