My OM-10 is home!!!

Some of you who follow me on Twitter (back when I used Twitter, cough, sorry Twitter) may have seen that in September 2019 I took my beloved Olympus OM-10 - which used to belong to my Dad - to a camera repair shop. It took a while for the person to find the right parts to fix it and then lockdown happened, but finally, in late 2020 - I got my OM-10 back. Woohoo. And then finally in 2021, I actually used it!

Here are some of the first photos that I took with my reunited friend.

It was so wonderful to use it again and I was obviously drawn to red and oranges at the time of using it as well. The shutter was sticking and the camera needed an overall clean but now we’re in working order and we are good to go. I can’t wait to take it on more adventures.

Oh I’m so happy to have it home!

Leeds Library

I'd totally forgotten that I took these photos last year. It's a shame that our visit was in the winter as there are so many more amazing details in the Leeds Library that I want to take photos of in more light...

18-22 366 Project

So far this project has definitely tested my motivation... some days are wonderful, you're in an exciting place and taking two photos is easy peasy. And other days - like today whilst I write this post, its peeing it down outside (raining lol) and all you want to do is make (another) cup of tea and hide inside. I'm hoping by the time I've finished writing this post I'll have motivated myself to go out but I doubt it. I've taken to really looking around the hallways in my works office building to see I can see anything even a little bit interesting to take a photo of. And we're only 39 days in hahaha.  

Luckily this batch was a few easy peasy days in a row and I'm really pleased with the results!

18/366 - This might as well be my life motto. Yeay for tea!

19/366 - I'm a bit sad this one is fuzzy but theres a horse head

20/366 - This one was a tough photo to frame as I loveeee the texture of the blue peeling paint but I really wanted a photo of the heart. I could have taken two photos separately but I liked the challenge of getting them both in and I'm pleased it worked out.

21/366 - I'd actually already taken two photos before this one that day but I walked a new way and  saw this and I had to take a photo. When I walked past a couple of days later it was almost washed away. 

22/366 - More peeling paint. I also really love circular windows... is that weird?

13 - 17 366 Project

I quite like this selection of photos from last month. The more photos I take, the more excited I feel about this project and the more things I find to take photos of.

13/366 - Leeds Victoria Quarter - I will be taking more photos here I'm sure, its stunning to walk around.

15/366 - Waiting for my next train in Peterborough in the sunshine. What you can't see is the very large tea I also had as it was freezing!

16/366 - This is the alley between my Grandparents house and the next road along. I've walked through it countless numbers of times since I was small. We used to walk this way to go to the park or the library and now we walk this way with Harry from my parents house to see my Grandparents. It hasn't really changed. Its an oddly sentimental photo for me, I'm glad I took it.

17/366- Back in Leeds and it snowed! I like this one a lot too.

I'm so used to telling stories in posts with a collection of photos that compliment each other, but I'm quite enjoying this sporadic selection that are dependant on each day rather than a narrative.
