Stratford Upon Avon Part 3

I still can't believe that my little fling with black and white film in my diana mini has developed into a full blown love affair... I'm so happy with how the film and camera work together that I don't even want to try it in another camera. This combination has Paris written all over it, don't you think? I'm going to need so many films for when we go!

Amazingly I still have some more posts about Stratford Upon Avon up my sleeve but these are the only black and white photos that I took there, I got a bit carried away with the yashica to be honest, it makes the best sounds.

However, even though they are so different from the yashica photos, they capture the atmosphere and the sunshine just as well just differently, I love it.

Stratford Upon Avon Part 2

As well as having my Diana Mini with me for our week away, I also took the Yashica Samurai with me and I must admit, this camera is really growing on me. I love that it can pick up details that Lomography cameras can sometimes miss without losing the wonderful grain from the film or the quality of colour I've come to expect from analogue cameras.

{warning, lots of photos coming up, I couldn't bring myself to remove any...}

These were taken around the same area as my last Stratford photos and I find it fascinating to see the difference between the photos, not just with the layout but in how I take them and what I focus on. These capture the atmosphere, the light and the town so well. My photos always make me want to go back. I love that.

Stratford Upon Avon - Part 1

{The result of taking more than one camera with me everywhere (and different films...) is that I'm going to have about 3 posts for each place we visited... it could actually take me weeks to share all my latest photos. Oh well}

During our week away we spent a lovely sunny day at Stratford-Upon-Avon. I had been there once before with my family a few years ago and it was almost exactly as I remembered however this time it was great having my cameras with me!

I absolutely loved the area around the canal, the sun was shining and the atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful. It was so easily to take photos around there that I didn't even noticed that I finished off my film!

Where to start...

Yesterday I got 148 photos developed, some from the past week and a couple from York with Adele and I have no idea where to start sharing them, I haven't even put all of the last black and white diana mini film on Flickr yet... I'm not complaining though, I am delighted! I can't believe I've taken so many photos already this year... YEAY!

Anyway, the lovely Elizabeth suggesting closing my eyes and picking one at random, so today's post is going to be about doors and doorways... they seem to be my new fascination.

I think I'm going to have to start using my yashica samurai more, its the perfect companion to a lomography camera as it has a great zoom feature (which I do miss sometimes) and you can take double the amount of photos per roll which is fun, especially as I love the square diana mini's too much to use it as a half frame camera anymore...

p.s. Colour photos I still adore you, that yellow is unbelievably perfect!
