A new blog home!

Hellooooo!!!

I am so so excited that you're here, I really hope you love my new blog, I am completely in love with it myself and it has been hard to keep at Blogger when I have a new shiny site to play with.

So whats new?

Well first - I've migrated the Photoswap blog into this blog - you can see more about the Photoswap here and check out the galleries of photos there too, which I just love. I'm hoping to do the Photoswap next month (eep) so if you haven't heard about it before or just want some inspiration, this is a great place to start.

I have a photography portfolio!!

As well as toy cameras, you can also see my instant photos, other 35mm cameras and all my instagram photos in one place.

I am currently in the process in organising my blogroll, so I will be announcing that when its ready (its going to look sweet!) and I also have a 'More, coming soon...' section in my menu for all the future things I'm planning for this blog.

I'm so so excited about my new blog home, and I hope you are too - please look around, follow by RSS feed, or by email and let me know what you think :)

p.s. I'm still very new to Wordpress so if you have any hints, tips or advice, its more than welcome, thank you.

p.p.s. you can leave comments on individual posts, I still don't know why the comments aren't showing on the home page, I'm working on it...

You can call me...

An author!
Woohoo!

There I am, I added the arrows so you didn't miss it.
(it's on Amazon so its official!)

{An excerpt from the book in the latest Gadchick Magazine, the book has reviews of all new apps.}

So what did I write?

I wrote a guide book for one of my favourite online magazines, Gadchick,
for Android phone photographers.

Even though I predominantly use my film cameras, I ALWAYS have my phone with me and I love using it for spur of the moment photos along side my film cameras or in situations where film isn't really practical. As well as tips for better android photography, I tested 30 different camera apps and included my thoughts on each which was actually a great process for me as I learnt to appreciate my little phone for so much more than its calling/texting abilities and to embrace digital photography as a different way to express myself.

You can now buy your own copy from Amazon for your Android or Kindle so if you have an Android phone please check it out, and if you do get it, let me know what you think!

An amazing offer...

It's been no secret here that I am completely in awe of Susannah Conway and having taken part in one of her E-course's this is even more true.
When she announced her book, This I Know, I knew that I would own it, I had to. For a number of years now Susannah has been a huge inspiration to me - both in my blogging and photography and there was no way I was missing out on her book. However, I was going to be patient and ask for it for my birthday (which isn't really that far away now...) along with Instant Love until I saw this...

Pre-order This I Know and get a free E-Course by Susannah for free. FREE!!

So of course, I caved and pre-ordered it
and then did a little dance.

"The goal of Exploring the Senses is the renewal of our senses – becoming more aware of them, how we use them and how we can strengthen them. It’s so easy to jog through life with our eyes shut, our ears closed, our sense of smell dialled down to zero, so we’re going to be gently challenging this as we work through the course. This I Know is all about mindfulness, living in the present moment and mining our lives to uncover the truth about the past and our dream."

I can not wait to start!!

For more information on this offer please check out Susannah's blog post today,
I can promise that you won't regret it.

Note. This special pre-order offer will close at midnight GMT on Monday June 4th 2012.

A rather amazing portrait...

{A portrait of me by the amazingly talented and lovely Caitlin from Hue and Hum

Last month, my blog friend Caitlin (who I first blogged about here featuring her amazing art) from Hue and Hum posted about accepting portrait orders and I jumped at the chance to have one of me with one of my cameras...

And here is the result. I just adore it. I love the yellow camera, all the stripes, the cute shoes and my usual outfit of a cardigan and jeans, woohoo!!

See more of Caitlin's portraits here, she is one seriously talented lady!!!

p.s. you might notice the original portrait that Caitlin has that I have an earring, I edited it out as I don't have my ears pierced... sorry Caitlin :)
