The Wiebners...

You may or may not know that I have a degree in Interior Design and although I don't do much designing (at the moment) my heart still skips a beat when I'm reading amazing design blogs and I see interiors that are just beautiful.

So, I'm incredibly excited to be sharing this discovery with you - I want to live in this shop! Unfortunately its in the wrong Lancaster (its in US not UK, boo)

Joel and Rita Wiebner are a husband and wife photography team who have been photographing together for over 12 years and they love everything photography related... and as well as having a store, they also have an Etsy shop and a photography business where they shoot weddings and portraits.

Here is what Joel had to say about their store.

"My wife and I are photographers and this store is our selfish little indulgence. We stock the store with items that we love ourselves. The entire store is photo themed from frames to vintage cameras to vintage photography and all kinds of other goodies"

Isn't it amazing?! I love it!

Do you live near here? You should go visit and say Hi for me!

All photos taken by Joel and Rita Wiebner and borrowed from this post where you can read more about their shop.

Camera Collection Part I: Kodak Cameras...

I'll admit... I have a soft spot for Kodak cameras.

My first digital was a Kodak thinking about it... and so was my first vintage camera. I can't pinpoint why exactly... they just look so lovely, so classic, like they haven't aged at all.

I have more kodak cameras than any other and I fully intend on getting more, specifically one (or all) of these! (gosh aren't they pretty?!)

None of my cameras are in perfect condition which honestly, I'm perfectly happy with. I love thinking about who may have used them, what caused the slight mark on the front, or where it was dropped to take a chunk out of it... I don't collect them seriously, I enjoy finding them in charity shops or for a great price on ebay and I have them where I can see them and enjoy them.

The one where I pretend its Monday (again...)

So I realised half way through yesterday that it was actually Monday and not Sunday and that I had promised Anna some photos for her Much Love Monday project - obviously today is not Monday... Sorry I'm late again Anna - I do have the perfect pictures though.

Last week the yellow heart sunglasses that I won on Biscuit arrived and I am totally in love with them!

...and they really love hanging out with my latest camera finds...

which I am also totally in love with!

p.s. Did you see Anna's yellow tights this week?
I really need to wear mine soon with these glasses!

p.p.s. My hair was meant to be medium brown - but its almost black.... oops!

Our newest toy...

My Dad is one of my favourite people in the whole world so really he didn't have to give lend me his old camera as I would still love him, but boy I am glad that he did!!

So here it is our new (old) camera to play with: An Olympus OM10 SLR camera from 1979 - this camera is older than me!

(sorry this isn't a great picture)

I'm really surprised I haven't blogged about this sooner as I am completely in love with this camera: I love how it looks, how heavy it is, how the dials make little noises when you turn them and the fact there is still half a film in there from who knows when - I'm so excited to finish the roll and see what the photos are!

p.s. Sorry this isnt a post about our weekend - Gee still has the photos :)

p.s.s. The wonderful Cassie is promising a giveaway at 100 followers and she only has 14 more to go. As one of the lovely ladies featured on Diamond in the Rough you know that you want to follow her! x
