Day 141: Bugibba, Malta

We flew to Malta on the Friday morning which gave us most of the afternoon and evening to explore and enjoy much more sunshine than we were used to in Yorkshire (hurray) even though it was windy, the weather was still warm and we really enjoyed our first look around the town and area.

Unfortunately, even after having this camera for years and using Lomo cameras for even longer than my LC-A, I pulled a rookie error! I forgot to change the exposure setting on the camera, so both this 200 film and a Lomo 100 film were exposed at 400. Urgh! I'm still annoyed with myself but luckily now that I scan my photos myself, I managed to rescue the photos to some extent... so forgive me that they aren't perfect but thats film photography (and user error!) for you.

I'd totally forgotten about the vignette my refurb LC-A has in such sunshine, I'm really enjoying the results of that and one thing it definitely caught beautifully (despite my error ha) is how incredibly BLUE the sky and the sea were, the bluest I've ever seen.

The first five photos are closer to Qawra bay whilst the last is the bay next to where we stayed - St Pauls bay. Our apartment was on the very right on this photo, just around the corner from the trees you can see and above an gelato ice cream parlour (which had the most amazing nutella ice cream, oh boy!). I'm going to say this with every blog post I'm sure but looking at these, I could go back there right now!

Camera: Refurb LC-A
Film: Agfa Vista 200 (over exposed and then rescued in scanning, just!)
Location: Bugibba and St Pauls Bay
