Temple Newsam Home Farm

As well as a gorgeous house and estate, Temple Newsam also has a working farm you can walk around with a variety of animals. I particularly love sheep so I found this part of our day really enjoyable - there were also some daring piglets which moved too fast to be photographed which made me chuckle.

I managed to get one photo of the inside window before I got told off for having a camera and taking photos, boo. You'll just have to trust me that the interior was as photogenic as the inside... (I do have a couple of phone photos here and here  and here but gosh I wish I could have taken photos properly with film!)

Anticipating Spring...

This week at work we've swapped offices to the other side of the building - you wouldn't expect this to make a huge difference to my mood but I can see sunshine!! And its been sunny! And if I close my eyes and ignore how cold my hands still are (I hate winter) I can pretend that its the Spring already and that its mild outside rather than freezing.

To celebrate my enthusiasm for Spring I thought I'd share some pretty flower photos here - I tried to take as many photos of the bunches of flowers that we had in the house last year and I'm glad I did because these have helped to continue my cheerful mood.
