Trogir is a historic town and harbour along the coast from Split and the historic centre of Trogir has been included in the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. We like to try and visit the Heritage Sites if we're near and as we had already seen the Plains in Hvar, we thought we should definitely go to Trogir as well.
We were not disappointed. Although Trogir is similar to Stari Grad and Hvar, everything there was much more compact with narrower streets giving the town more of a bustle and energy in comparison to the more relaxed feel of Hvar. The town wasn't huge, so we only spent a few hours there but there was lots of see and the time seemed to fly by. We even took the local bus back to Split (rather than the coach) and that gave us another view of the area.
