Around Leeds Part I

Photos that didn't quite make the 366 Project cut...

I seeing a theme with bikes and run down buildings, which isn't actually what Leeds is like funnily enough, just what seems to catch my eye at the moment.

I am really pleased that my 366 project is getting me out of the office and around the city more. I've taken more photos in Leeds this year than all of last year combined I'm sure :)

Accidental Double Exposures

Somehow when I was carrying my Canon EOS 750 around in December, I managed to take photos in my bag... oops. I thought I remembered the exact number of photos I had left to take on the roll, so I reloaded the film and took enough photos under my quilt cover at night (the scientific way to stop light leakage ha) to get me back to where I should be. I can't decide if I'm pleased or disappointed that I was only 2 photos out with my count. One on hand, I love accidents like this, especially when you get such interesting results. But on the other, would I have preferred the photos as they were taken...

I guess we'll never know but I am pleased to say, I'm ok with that and I'm enjoying these two accidents a lot!

33-37 366 Project

A week of 366 Project photos. I'm ok with that :) its pretty much all I think about at the moment, so it seems fair that its all I'm sharing here.

I swapped cameras around on a couple of these days, mostly because I wanted to capture the colours. You can see why in the two colour photos I'm sure...

33/366 - Our latest art in our bedroom from the Leeds Gallery Lending Scheme

34/366 - I went back to the Victoria Quarter to see what it would look like in black and white. It did not disappoint.

35/366 - I have to confess that Thomas actually spotted this piano not me, but it was too perfect to not take a photo of right? I love it.

36/366 - As well as taking photos of other people I'm trying to take interesting selfies on this project too. There I am - hi!

37/366 - I took almost exactly the same photo with my phone to share on Instagram as I so love the knitted baby blanket I made for my friend and her little dude who I can't wait to meet. I realised afterwards that if I really wanted to remember how I felt seeing his little blanket just waiting for his arrival then really I should use film, so I did and I'm glad.

28-32 366 Project

You can tell I've been scanning films all weekend right? Lots of photos to share, hurrah!

28/366 - The new Trinity shopping center in Leeds

29/366 - We went for a nice drink in our local pub. I'm really pleased this photo worked, it felt risky ha.

30/366 - I catch the train at least 5 days a week, I'm surprised this is the first train photo of the project

31/366 - I know I mention favourites often but if this is my ultimate favourite photo from the whole project I'll be totally OK with that. I adore it

32/366 - Another lone figure. I'm trying to encourage myself to take more photos of people in this project, so I was pleased this one worked too (I as a little worried I'd caught too much of the bus on the right)
