Making a mark

I struggle with big changes. It's probably one of the reasons why I ended up having therapy.

Yet lately, I've been drawn to evidence of change -  evidence of impact, of weather, of time, of deterioration... and all of a sudden, the peeling paint, the broken fences, the scratches in the bark are all absolutely beautiful and I notice things like it all the time.

These were taken a few months ago now and I've resisted sharing them - for no good reason admittedly - until now, until that moment when I saw exactly what it was I was taking photos of.

I'm pretty sure my photography muse is playing games with me.
