Holkham Hall in Black and White

As well as getting married in Norfolk, we also spent a week in the barns after the wedding with our families. We don't get to spend as much time at home as we would like with everyone, so it seemed like the perfect reason to celebrate all week long with the people we love and also play tourists in our own county.

One thing that I really wanted to do whilst we were there was visit Holkham Hall - Thomas's Dad works there and he gave me, my sister and my brother in law our very own tour around the hall and it was so amazing! He also got to show off his new daughter in law to his colleagues which I know he very much enjoyed.

I absolutely loved the details in each room, as you can see in these photos everything was so ornate and intricate, even the door handles and light switches! I was a little worried abut using black and white film as the colours were gorgeous but I'm pleased these worked out well, they give the hall a timeless look to them I think. I have some colour photos too (of course) but I'm glad I risked it with these photos as well.

If you're ever in the area I highly recommend a visit to the hall and the grounds as well and if you see someone working there called Paul definitely say hi!
