After talking to my Mum last night I found out that our (I say our, I haven't lived at home for 5 years...) neighbour of 15 years passed away yesterday. It was not a shock as she had been taken into hospital a couple of days ago but I was still extremely saddened by the news.
The thing that upset me the most is that the puppy didn't understand why he couldn't go round her house to see her... we have a gate between our houses and she looked after him 2/3 days a week whilst my parents were working so he is used to going over there whenever he wants. How do you explain such sad news to a dog? He did cheer my Mum up during the day though - after she had cried all over him... bless him.
Thankfully, I did have some happy news this morning to cheer me up. Jamie from Same New Story has given me a one lovely blog award! How exciting, I still can't believe that she reads my blog, let alone likes it! Thank you Jamie, I really appreciate it and it couldn't have come at a better time.
