Feeling Blue...

Last month Katie from Curating Cuteness shared some of her gorgeous redscale XR photos and I was completely smitten with the blue tones that she managed to produce.

Knowing that I could set the ISO with my LC-A, I set out determined to get similar results in Scarborough and although the blue tones are quite subtle, I'm so happy with how these photos look.

p.s. I'm not really feeling blue, I just liked it for a title :)

Redscale bunting...

There wasn't as much bunting in Scarborough compared to Knaresborough but I still couldn't help taking photos of it when I saw it and this redscale XR film with my LC-A is currently my most favourite thing!

I'll apologise now if I've been a bit scarce in the blogging community this week - I've been extremely distracted creating a new home for my blog (its bigger, better and quite frankly, awesome!) which I'm hoping to share soon... mainly because I might burst with excitement if I don't share it soon haha. Anyway, I hope all is well with you all - I'll try and catch up soon.

 Have a great weekend!

One spot, two films...

Now that I have a working LC-A, I've been making up for lost time and over our holiday week I took 4 films and they all worked, woohoo!! Exciting, I know.

As I was using two different films in the same camera, I wasn't too worried about perhaps taking the same photos twice as I knew that they wouldn't look the same even if they were similar and now that I'm looking at the results, I'm really glad that I didn't worry as it's great to see the comparisons.

The first photo was taken with Lomography Redscale XR and I'm so glad that I've finally used that film with my LC-A, it did not disappoint and the second photo is with Lomography Tungsten film which I was also looking forward to trying out.

It doesn't hurt that this view is one of my favourites in Scarborough but I don't think I could pick between the two...

Paris in Film: Lomo Redscale XR

Once again I used my Lomography Redscale XR film in my superheadz camera - I love finding combinations that really work together and I was very excited about taking these two to Paris with me.My favourite thing about this film is the variety of the results and how it is a true reflection of the light around you. It varies between soft and warm when there isn't as much light to bright and vivid when the sun is gleaming around you. As you can see, the weather on the days I used this film greatly improved, so the contrasts became much stronger.
