Things I've learnt from blogs this week...

This week has gone so fast! I think its because I have been looking forward to the weekend all week :)
  1. Part of me loves this and part of me absolutely hates it – I’m not sure which side will win out!
  2. It really is the little things in life that matter (I already knew that really, but sometimes its nice to be reminded – especially in such an endearing way)
  3. One of these would be awesome!
  4. I love post-its!!!
  5. I really want to dangle parasols from the ceiling – so adorable!

I completely love the Here's to Happiness Lists from Rockstar Diaries - every new post has been a joy - how could I forget about cheese though?! I love cheese.... yum!

Pantone Spring Fashion Colours 2009

Whilst stumbling around on my Pantone Home and Interiors search I stumbled upon this beauty. I never used to be that much into fashion - I always thought that fashion at university was elitist and manipulative - my housemate (a fashion student) tried harder to look cool rather than to have her own personal look. However after reading blogs such as Cupcakes and Cashmere my love for shoes, bags, ruffles, pretty colours and personal style has been reignited!
Out of the booklet this is my favourite outfit - I absolutely adore the skirt
and I love the contrast of the gray against the orange. Lovely.

I love the bright pink and blues (and the hair) in these two - wouldn't either of these be
perfect for a walk on the beach?

Pantone Colour of the Year 2009!

First I found this...
Which led me to this..
After googling 'Pantone's color forecast 2009' I found this...
and then this!
Pantones Colour of the Year is:

Isn't it funny how you find these things out - especially when this just happens to be my favourite colour right now! Who knew I was so cool? haha!

"The color yellow exemplifies the warmth and nurturing quality of the sun, properties we as humans are naturally drawn to for reassurance," explains Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute®. "Mimosa also speaks to enlightenment, as it is a hue that sparks imagination and innovation."
